Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. Eph 5:11-13
Eventually a choice will be made between those who honor themselves and others and those that just pretend to. Anyone can get around in the dark without light but compared to the potential of what one can do in the light there is no comparison.
Making a mistake does not put you in the dark. Everyone screws up. Owning and reconciling those mistakes, however, is the only way to lift your head. The truth only exists in light and both are tangible and physical. Without them there is no life.
